On Friday, the official website for the stage adaptation of the light novel series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) by Fuse and Mitz Vah, unveiled a new visual and announced the cast for the play.

The upcoming stage play adaptation of the light novel series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime by Fuse and Mitz Vah, directed and scripted by Naohiro Ise, will run at the Mielparque Hall in Osaka from August 3 to 5 and at the Nippon Seinen-kan Hall in Tokyo from August 11 to 14.

The series originally debuted on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” (Let’s Become Novelists) website from 2013 to 2016 and has since gained over 400 million page views. The novels are currently in their final arc, with the 18th volume released in March 2021, and the author, Fuse, is planning to conclude the series with the 22nd volume. Yen Press publishes the series in English.

The anime adaptation, based on Taiki Kawakami’s manga, premiered its first season in October 2018, with Crunchyroll and Funimation streaming the series and its English dub. The second season’s first cours premiered in January 2021, followed by the television anime of Shiba’s spinoff manga The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime in April 2021. The second cours of the second season aired from July 2021 to March 2022, with both Crunchyroll and Funimation streaming the series and its English dub. The franchise’s latest film, titled Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Guren no Kizuna (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bonds), premiered in Japan in November 2022.

Additionally, the franchise announced in February 2023 that a three-episode original anime titled Koriusu no Yume (Coleus’s Dream) will debut in the fall.
